ПРЕС-РЕЛІЗ Факультет міжнародних відносин Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка Зимова академія "Євроатлантична інтеграція: засіб досягнення стабільності" у Львові З 1-го до 5-го березня 2004 р. Львівський національний університет імені Івана Франка, за підтримки Центру інформації та документації НАТО, Міністерства освіти і науки України та Національної Академії наук України, проводить Зимову академію "Євроатлантична інтеграція: засіб досягнення стабільності". Учасниками академії є 55 студентів із Білорусі, Грузії, Естонії, Литви, Латвії, Молдови, Польщі, Росії та України, які вивчають актуальні проблеми та сучасні виклики міжнародному співробітництву і безпеці. Перед учасниками академії виступлять та візьмуть участь у дискусіях представники керівництва НАТО, ОБСЄ, Адміністрації Президента України, голови Комітетів Верховної Ради України, експерти НРБО України, Міністерства оборони України, провідні науковці з Швейцарії, Нідерландів, Польщі та України, посли іноземних держав. Під час засідань Академії обговорюватимуться загальні проблеми безпеки, питання функціонування НАТО після Празького і Стамбульського саммітів, майбутнього НАТО у ХХІ столітті в контексті євроатлантичної інтеграції а також місце і роль України в системі світової безпеки. В останній день відбудуться дискусії на тему асиметричних загроз міжнародної системи, підведення підсумків Академії. Програмою передбачено використання нових комунікаційних технологій, зокрема, проведення відео-мостів із керівниками НАТО у Брюсселі. Кращі студенти будуть нагороджені поїздкою до Штаб-квартири НАТО в Брюсселі Офіційне відкриття Академії відбудеться 1 березня о 16:00 (вул. Університетська, 1, Дзеркальна зала університету) за участі Міністра закордонних справ України К.Грищенка, помічника Генерального секретаря НАТО з питань громадської дипломатії Ж.Фурне, Генерального секретаря ОБСЄ Я.Кубіша,. З нагоди відкриття Зимової академії о 17:00 відбудеться прес-конференція. Faculty of International Relations the Ivan Franko National University of L'viv Winter Academy "Euro-Atlantic Integration: as Instrument for Stability" March 1-5, 2004. Winter Academy "Euro-Atlantic Integration: as Instrument for Stability" will be held at the Ivan Franko National University of L'viv under the patronage of the Ministry for Education and Science of Ukraine, NATO Information and Documentation Center and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 55 students, majoring in topical issues of security and international cooperation, from Bielarus, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine will participate in it. Authoritative representatives of NATO, OSCE, the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the heads of the parliamentary committees, experts of National Council for Security and Defense of Ukrainme, Ministry for Defense of Ukraine and leading scholars from Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine as well as the ambassadors of foreign states will also take part in the sessions of the Academy. General issues of security and the functioning of NATO after the Prague and Istanbul summits, the role of NATO in the procces of European integration in the 21st century as well as the place and the role of Ukraine in the global security system will be considered during the sessions: The deliberation of the topic "Asymmetrical threats for the international system" will be held during the last day of the Academy. Conclusions will be drawn. The new communication technologies are expected to be used during the working sessions of the Academy. The best students - participants of the Academy will have an opportunity to visit NATO headquarters in Brussels. The official key-note speeches will be delivered on March 1 at 4 p.m. in the Mirror Hall of the University. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostiantyn Hryshchenko, NATO Assistant General Secretary for Public Diplomacy Jean Fournet, OSCE General Secretary Jan Kubis, will participate in the event. The press-conference on the occasion of the opening of the Academy is due to take place at 5 p.m.
