1) What is the deadline for submission of the documents?
The deadline for submission of the documents is 15 July 2008.
2) How can I make fees payment?
Tuition fee can be paid (at your option) either directly in
Lviv at the accounting office of the IFNU or by bank transfer to the Ivan Franko National University's bank
account, not later than the start of the course.
The accommodation fee is to be paid in Lviv.
In Ukraine, all payments must be in the Ukrainian national currency, hryvnya, so you will need to exchange your dollars into hryvnyas at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine. This exchange rate is somewhat higher than the rate in exchange offices in Lviv; therefore the amount paid in Ukraine will be larger (in dollars) compare to the sum indicated in your contract.
3) When can I enter Ukraine to start the program?
All international students will enter
Ukraine within the period of time from 15 August to 15
November.
4) Can I work in Ukraine during the preparatory year?
No, because of high academic load.
5) How many classes have
students at PSIS?
Normally, they have 6 academic hours daily (2
ac.hrs x 3).
6) How far is Lviv from Kyiv?
Lviv is 467 km from Kyiv.
7) How can I get to Lviv?
You can fly to Lviv through Kyiv, and then take a domestic flight from Kyiv to Lviv (about 1 hour) or a train
(9 hrs). There are also several direct flights to Lviv via Warsaw (Poland), Frankfurt (Germany) or Vienna (Austria). These are preferable options – the easiest ones to reach Lviv. You will need transit visas in these cases.
