Are investigated phase transformations
kainite during heating at temperatures 100, 200, 300, 400 and 600°C on the basis
the analysis roentgenometry. It is found out, that destruction of crystal
structure kainite occurs in an interval of temperatures 100-300° From products of its disintegration
turn out langbeinit, silvin, magnesium and are allocated H2O and HCl. With
the further heating kainite up to 600°C products of its
disintegration langbeinit and silvin remain stable, and magnesium is displayed
on Mg and HCl.

kainite belongs to the main
minerals of deposits of potassium-magnesian salts of Prikarpatye which are the important
raw material for development of the mountain-chemical industry of Ukraine.
Mainly it meets as fine, medium-grained Units which form close joints with
langbeinit, silvin, galit, kiserit, polygalit and other minerals [2].

Transformation of the kainite under heating has been investigated on the basis of X-ray analysis results. Kainite crystalline structure as was determined is destructed in temperature interval about 100-300°C. At the expense of destruction products langbeinite, sylvite and magnesium hydroksochloride forming take place as well as H2O and HCl exudation.
Under heating of the kainite to 600°C such destruction
products as langbeinite and sylvite are stable while magnesium hydroksochloride
disintegrates into MgO and HCl. Kainite transformations are presented in
chemical equation appearance with every phase content calculation. Kainite mass
loss under heating and its conduct in katagenesis process as well as in
dynamometamorphism ones has been ascertained.
Key words: kainite, heating, phase transformations, X-ray analysis,
katagenesis, dynamometamorphism.
