METHODOLOGY OF TECHNOLOGICAL MINERALOGY AND NATURE OF MINERALS’ TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

B. Pyrogov

Russian State Geological-Prospecting University

Miklukho-Maklaj St. 23, RU – 117873 Moscow, Russia

E-mail: pirogov_bi@inbox.ru

Technological properties of minerals are formed in common geological-technogene system. Mineral’s “life”, which was begun in geological processes, proceeds in techno-logical instruments, but in time and space it proceeds much more quickly than in nature. It reflects the double nature of mineral properties, the information about which has been formed at various levels of mineralogical “memory” – morphological, structural etc. Integration of mineralogical methods with enrichment of minerals allows to estimate the system of minerals technological properties nature and to learn operate them during ore-preparation and separations of the crushed products in the technological circuit.

Key words: technological mineralogy, technological properties of minerals, minera-logical “memory”, geological-technogene system, technological circuit.

CRYSTALLOMORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF SOME SECONDARY MINERALS OF KIMBERLITES

Ì. Zintchouk

Western-Yakutian Scientific Center of Republic Sakha (Yakutia) Academy of Sciences Myrny,
Sakha (Yakutia), Russian Federation

Crystallomorphological characteristic of some kimberlite secondary minerals, which were formed during postmagmatic stage of these rocks’ transformation, is given by the results of complex investigations. Diversity of morphological forms of individual mineral-neoformations in kimberlites emphasizes complexity of postmagmatic minerogenesis proc-esses in diatremes of this composition. Employment of complex research methods of crystallomorphological features of kimberlite secondary minerals made it possible to receive new information about their typomorphic properties, which enables much wider applied usage of the received materials.

GENETIC PECULIARITIES OF PYRRHOTITE PHASES IN SOME BASIC-ULTRABASIC ROCKS OF THE UKRAINIAN SHIELD WESTERN PART

O. Drahomyrets’kyi

I.I. Mechnikov National University of Odesa

Dvoryans’ka St. 2, UA – 65024 Odesa, Ukraine

On the basis of numerous facts (more than 60 mineralogical specimens and several tens of polished sections) some peculiarities of expansion, distribution, ontogenesis and spectral composition of pyrrhotite phases in some ultrabasic-basic intrusions from the Ukrainian Shield western part (Kumarovs’kyi, Bukins’kyi, Zheleznyakivs’kyi and Proutivs’kyi) are examined. The ontogenic analyses have proved that the quantity of low temperature monoclinic phase, as a rule, is significantly more present in xenomorphic grains of pyrrhotite; mineral phases of chalcopyrite and pentlandite are often confined to idiomorphic and subidiomorphic individuals of pyrrhotite that gives evidence of syngenetic origin of these phases together with the last one.

Key words: pyrrhotite, ontogenesis, spectral composition, ultrabasic-basic intrusions, Ukrainian Shield.

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
Hrushevskogo St. 4, UA – 79005 Lviv, Ukraine
E-mail: mineral@franko.lviv.ua

The results of the detailed mineralogical investigations of gold-bearing paragenesis in ores of the Bobrykove deposit have been presented. It is elucidated, that gold is in close paragenesis with boulangerite, tetrahedrite and galena. Ore-forming fluid at the last stage of process was enriched in Ni, Co and Au and had high chemical activity of As and low activity of S. The gold-bearing paragenesis formed in reducing environment and higher alkalinity at medium temperature.

Key words: native gold, gold-bearing paragenesis, boulangerite, tetrahedrite, gers-dorffite, reaction relationship, Donbas.

Some ore manifestations and several tens points of native gold finds have been fixed during geological surveying at the Skvyra area (Brusyliv sutural zone of the Ukrainian Shield). Ore manifestations coincide with magnetic anomalies axes and spatially are con-nected with metabasites. Native gold has different forms and colour, which is the evi-dence of local original sources of metal and their poligenous character. The finds of cin-nabar, realgar and tetradymite in ore-gold aureoles testify to probable hydrothermal ori-gin and comparatively young time of gold mineralization formation.

The results of study of fluid inclusions from minerals of different age rock-ore com-plexes of the Marmarosh massif North-Western part are described. They may be a good basis for the future detailed works in this direction. Elucidation of migration paths, com-pilation of a scheme showing the fluid evolution, and modelling of metamorphogenous-hydrothermal mineralogenesis in the region were classified as the most important tasks of research. This will promote clarifying the physical-chemical nature and space-time suc-cession of the fluid shows within the limits of this important structural-facies unit of the Eastern Carpathians. We have distinguished the new perspective direction, namely: study of hydrocarbon inclusions in minerals.
