The distribution of 137Cs in organs and tissues of the predatory fish was analyzed. The specific activity of radionuclide in fish of the sampling water bodies (except the Pripyat River) in tens times higher than permissible levels in Ukraine for fish production. 137Cs distribution in fish organism was the following: muscles (42–68%), head (10–17%), bones (5–12%) and scales (2–14%). At that the water-soluble and sorbate forms of 137Cs on the scale amounts about 31% of the total content of radionuclide in this tissue.
