Antioxidant system of pigs under the different feeding and maintenance

Intensive maintenance technology and of feeding of fattening pigs leads to decreasing of antioxidant defence system (reducing of superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, katalase activities and contents reduced glutathione in erythrocytes) in comparison with reproductive pigs. These data suggest that feeding is more balanced and conditions of reproductive pigs keeping are more comfortable and less stressful than that of fattening pigs.
