Materials for assessment of a condition of population of the red squirrel in parks of Uzhgorod

Distribution of color forms of the red squirrel in green spreading of Uzhgorod is studied, and also shown separate aspects of their behavior. In the investigated green zones of a city founded three color types of squirrel: red, black and intermediate (dark). In general 53 meetings of different color forms of the red squirrel registered. The most part of them represent black persons (70%). The total number of squirrel in the Uzhgorod city at 40–50 individuals is estimated. In autumn and spring squirrels are very active and often meet in city streets, in little parks. Distribution of different color forms of squirrel in meal is unnoted. In the same parks from time to time there are two color forms of squirrel simultaneously.
