Activity of NO-synthase and content of stable methabolic nitric oxide products in peripheral blood leukocytes under the chronic x-ray radiation and administration of L-arginine

It was evaluated the content of nitrates and nitrites and activity of NO-synthetase in immunocompetent cells of rat peripheral blood under the chronic x-ray radiation and peroral administration of L-arginine were studied. It was shown that administration of L-arginine leads to inhibition of nitric oxide cytotoxic effect by reducing it overproductions under the chronic x-ray radiation.
