In his conversation wilh Svitlana Matviyenko, the Kievan philosopher and head of the Kantian society of Ukraine Anatoliy Loy relates the history of philosophical education at Kyiv University, elaborates on the nature of the university tradition and the reasons for its weakness in Ukraine (lack of a united intellectual space, decline of journals and intellectual discussions, comfortable disciplinary self-isolation). As to Marxism, Anatoliy Loy proposes to approach it carefully, as the latter contains within itself different modes of philosophizing.
